Percutaneous Coronary Intervention(PCI)/Coronary Angioplasty

Coronary angioplasty, also called percutaneous coronary intervention, is a non-surgical procedure to open narrowed coronary arteries to restore blood flow. It uses a balloon catheter that widens up the coronary artery, and a stent (a small mesh) can be also implanted in the artery to decrease the chance of re-narrowing.
