During the last half of the century, Gil Medical Center has grown and been reborn as a shuge hospital system where they are not only practice the art of healing not also the art of love. Now, the "Gachon Gil Foundation" is firmly rooted into the ground to serve a wider and broader global community. Gil Medical Center has been practicing genuine medical art with profound respect for life. It works for the patients' benefit rather than for itself, for the public good rather than for the hospital's profit. Furthermore, it is committed to the quality of life. Gil Medical Center wants to spread hope which brings smiles to everyone in the world. Here we are reborn as "A Foundation" which opens a bright new horizon while continuing to keep our past pacts & promises.

 

Dr. Lee, Gil Ya opened a small obstetrics and gynecology clinic in 1958 out of love and a desire to serve public. She pronounced it to be "a hospital without security deposit", and she has paved its way to become a hospital for true benevolent arts ever since.

Gil Medical Foundation opened East-Incheon Gil Medical Center in 1978 and Central Gil Medical Center in 1998 in Guwol-dong, Incheon . Furthermore, it has established affiliated schools. The foundation and the association have pursued "Gil Spirits" of loving people.

In the new millennium, Gil Medical Center will deliver an armful of it's tree's greenness to the world with the name of "Gachon Gil Foundation".
